The Dallas Cowboys of the 2010-2011 NFL Football Season are on a mission. The Cowboys finally won a playoff game under the helm of Head Coach Wade Phillips and Quarterback Tony Romo. The new Cowboys Stadium built by team owner Jerry Jones is a high-tech state-of-the-art football facility and the home of Super Bowl XLV. The biggest feature is the high-definition television screen which is 160 x 72 feet and the largest in the world.Seating capacity is 80,000 and expandable up to 100,000 seats.

The Dallas Cowboys hope they have made improvements to make the Super Bowl run this season. The NFL Schedule will be tougher this season. In this article you will find the entire 2010-2011 Dallas Cowboys Football season schedule as well as the TV Prime Time Schedule.

Dallas Cowboys 2011 NFL Football Schedule

2011-2012 Dallas Cowboys Football Season is now here.

The Dallas Cowboys 2011-2012 NFL Football Season Schedule is finally here. The Cowboys will enjoy an easier schedule than the 2010-2011 season. The Cowboys open their season with a Sunday Night game against the NY Jets.

You can see the preview and Football Schedule at Dallas Cowboys Football Schedule 2011-TV Schedule-NFL Prediction.

The 2010 season was a disappointment to the team as well as the fans. Wade Phillips was fired as Head Coach and Jason Garrett hired to replace Phillips. Rob Ryan was hired in the off season to head the defense and turn it around.

Several players were cut from the team and the Cowboys will return to the top of the NFC East.

The 'Boys Are Back!

The Dallas Cowboys of 2010 hope that this year will be the year the team returns to the NFL Super Bowl. A team filled with a glorious history of divisional, conference and league NFL Championships is hoping this is the year of destiny for another NFL League Championship title to add to their team collection.

The Dallas Cowboys have won 5 Super Bowls in 8 appearances, 5 NFC Conference Championships, 21 NFC East Divisional Championships, 30 playoff appearances and had a 20 year consecutive winning season run from 1966-1985 which still stands today.

With Super Bowl XLV (45) being hosted in the Cowboys home stadium, what a better time to reclaim the title of NFL Champions.

2010-2011 Dallas Cowboys

Offense:

Tony Romo vastly improved during the season to lead the Cowboys to the NFC East Divisional title and his first playoff win as the Cowboys quarterback. Romo looked very comfortable leading the Cowboys down the stretch and into the playoffs where the Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles in back-to-back weekends in an amazing destruction of a good Eagles team. The Cowboys were throttled the following week at the Minnesota Vikings as Brett Favre and the Vikings defense played a very inspired game.

Romo will have receivers Miles Austin, Patrick Crayton and hopefully improvement from Roy Williams to open up the field for an even stronger passing an improved wide receiver group this season. The break-out season of Miles Austin should carrying over to the 2010-2011 season and the addition of Dez Bryant in the NFL Draft to go with Tight End Jason Witten, wide attack.

The running game features Marion Barber, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice, known as the 3-headed monster attack. Felix Jones may be ready to take over the starting role for Barber and Barber return to back-up as he was when he had his Pro-Bowl season in 2007 and 12 touchdowns.

Defense:

The Dallas Defense was one of the best throughout the 2009-2010 season and was dominating by the end of the season and the first playoff game. The defense should remain strong and show even more improvement.

The team pass rushers of DeMarcus Ware, Anthony Spencer and Jay Ratliff can take over a game and dominate opponents offense.

Special Teams:

Rookie WR Dez Bryant will add an exciting element to the Cowboys special teams play. With the return of Patrick Crayton and the addition of Dez Bryant, the kick returns part of the Cowboys arsenal should be a dangerous threat and make big plays.

The kicking game was a sore spot for the Cowboys last season as the kicking game fell apart during the season. The Cowboys will be looking for a reliable kicker for field goals and extra points.

The Dallas Cowboys NFL Football Schedule 2010-2011 Season

The Dallas Cowboys have the third toughest NFL Schedule in the league this season. The NFC East will face the AFC South in the inter-conference games. Games to highlight the 2010 season will be at Minnesota Vikings on October 17th, at Green Bay Packers on November 7th, home game hosting NFC Conference Champions and Super Bowl XLIV Champions New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving Day, November 25th and the week after a home game against the AFC Conference Champions and Super Bowl XLIV runner-up Indianapolis Colts.

The NFC East divisional games will once again be tough with an improved Washington Redskin team with Mike Shannahan as Head Coach and Donnovan McNabb as the team Quarterback. The New York Giants will try to turn around a defense that failed them in the 2009 season. The Philadelphia Eagles begin a new era without Donnovan McNabb as the Quarterback.

The Dallas Cowboys are scheduled for 5 NFL Prime Time Television games as well as the Thanksgiving Day football game.

Dallas Cowboys 2010 Football Season Schedule-by NFLization

NFL Outlook for the Dallas Cowboys 2010-2011 NFL Football Season

Dallas Cowboys will have a tougher schedule this year to face for another NFC East Championship and a NFL Playoff berth. The Cowboys schedule statistically is the third toughest in the league for this season. The NFC East Teams will face the AFC South in inter-conference games played.

The NFC East should be even more balanced and improved this season. The Dallas Cowboys add another year of experience and maturity to a system that has been in place both offensively and defensively for few years now. Great strides were made in the 2009-2010 season as the Cowboys finally won a NFC Playoff game under the coaching of Wade Phillips (saving his job for another 2 years) and Quarterback Tony Romo.

The Cowboys added another weapon for Tony Romo with the NFL Draft pick of Dez Bryant as wide receiver in the first round

NFC East Conference

Cowboy Stadium - Home of Super Bowl XLV (45)

Dallas Cowboys NFL 2010-2011 & Super Bowl XLV (45) Prediction

Look for the Dallas Cowboys to repeat in 2010-2011 as the NFC East Divisional Champions. It will be a very tough divisional race with the NY Giants coming in second and the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins battling it out for the third and fourth place. This is the year that all four teams of the NFC East could possibly end the season with a winning record.

The Dallas Cowboys in the NFL Playoffs? I do see the Cowboys reaching the NFC Championship Game this year. Team owner Jerry Jones will have his team focused and driven for a Super Bowl this year, especially with the NFL Championship Game being held in the new Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The NFC Championship Game should come down to the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings, led by Brett Favre. This year, I look for the Dallas defense to smother Brett Favre and the Dallas Cowboys to reach Super Bowl XLV (45) and host the NFL Championship Game in their home stadium.

Super Bowl XLV (45)

I have predicted the Dallas Cowboys to advance to the NFL Super Bowl Championship Game, but who will they face for the NFL Title? I see Peyton Manning leading the Indianapolis Colts over the New York Jets in the AFC Conference Championship Game to face the Cowboys.

Super Bowl XLV (45)

Indianapolis Colts vs Dallas Cowboys

  • Dallas Cowboys win
  • Indianapolis Colts win
  • Neither...another team wins the Super Bowl

Super Bowl XLV (45) winner will be:

Indianapolis Colts vs Dallas Cowboys

The game will be the highest rated TV NFL Football game ever in history. The first half will be more defensive than offensive as both teams match up well. The second half will be a shoot-out as both offenses kick it in gear.

Manning to Austin Collie and Romo to Miles Austin will dominate the 3rd quarter. The defining moment in the game will come in the 4th quarter by a sack and a fumble. The team that will be crowned the NFL Champions...Super Bowl XLV winners will be.....

You the fans tell me, vote in the poll and say who will win this Super Bowl/

Great Hub as always and I am right here on the sidelines waiting with great anticipation till the season starts. Loved seeing Romo interviews at the opening of training camp this past weekend. I wish I had better news to report on my NY Giants in that they might give the Boys a run for there money in the division but I am afraid that nothing is really going on for the Giants. Now dont get me wrong as I still will be cheering them on . especially come Mon night when the Boys meet up with the Giants! Redskins and McNabb may have something in store for the Boys but overall I think the Boys will have no trouble taking the NFC east . .but then again we both know that this division is the hardest and the best in the whole league.

Great Hub. Rated up, useful and AWESOME!!

p.s. i love your little helmut dividers ;)

Thanks Shari!!! I am sooo ready for NFL Football to begin. I am also on the Dallas Cowboys Facebook page and have been reading about the training camp this past weekend. From what I hear about Dez Bryant, he will be an instant impact player. He was reported to make several one-handed spectacular catches. The "Boys have not had that since Michael Irvin.

I use Microsoft PowerPoint for the helmet divider bars. It is very easy.

Great job on the hub. But in my opinion, the only real difference in this years team over last appears to be Dez Bryant. I don't think it's enough to push the Cowboys into the Super Bowl with the Saints and Vikings being good again.

Michael Willis profile image

Michael Willis Hub Author 21 months ago

I think New Orleans has every thing they need to repeat as Super Bowl Champs, but it is so much harder to even return to the Super Bowl after getting that target on your backs.

Teams have had time since last season to study tapes more to plan defenses.

Minnesota will go as far as Favre carries them. Favre is a year older and he had the best year of his career. I think this year will be the year he starts to slip.

These are the thoughts behind my placing Dallas in the Super Bowl, as well as...Jerry Jones!!! This man will be the major motivator with the Super Bowl being played in Cowboy Stadium.

Great info, well done! I am a diehard Saints fan, not a bandwagoner, a true fan for more than 20 years. I think the Cowboys have a great shot at making a deep playoff run, but the schedule is pretty brutal. The NFC East will be an absolute battle this year, especially with the Redskins being improved, cant wait for football season!

You are right about the NFC East being a battle this year superbowlsaints. Dallas will win the East and hopefully all the battle-testing games will give them the edge in the playoffs.

I'm new here at hubpages, enjoyed your hub. Big Giants fan. Very interesting that you have the Boys losing in the Super Bowl. I would think thats hard for a fan to say. Also, find interesting that you think Jerry Jones has such an impact on the team. I would want that coming from the coach. Should be a fun year, especially watching Wade Phillips. He either looks so confused and depressed or he hops around giddy with excitement. The opposite of Andy Reid.

Welcome to Hubpages ThinKing. It was hard as a Cowboy Fan to Not predict the 'Boys to win the Super Bowl. When writing an article I always try to be as unbiased as possible. I just took the facts I found, analysis and made the prediction. I will definitely be cheering the Cowboys for the Super Bowl and do hope they win it!

And Jerry Jones does and will have a larger influence on this team.

Hi Michael, I hope the next game will be better for them, lest they will be contenders in the East. And it is just too early right now to see if they are into the SuperBowl, lots of powered up other teams as well. Nice one, Thank you, Maita

Thanks Maita. It is early in the season. The opening weekend is always filled with upsets and surprises. I know the Cowboys have to get Colombo healed and back in the starting line-up.

I'm not impressed with Dez Bryant, give me my Felix Jones, Marion Barber, Jason Witten, or Smilin'Miles Austin any day. Patrick Creighton, Tashad Choice and Roy Williams can do that well also. The boys defense is really great and the offense just needs to get back to business. I live in arkansas and follow the former hog players and want them all to play for dallas. I just wish DMac could have gone to dallas. I cant say enough greatness about Ware, Brookings, Spencer, and the rest of the team. I think that they could end up in the superbowl, right there in dallas, they just need to back to the game and use the tried and true players instead of letting newbies lose ground for us. Romo is a great qb and seems to have moved to the next level in is job. I will be relieved when Colombo returns. To score in the last 3 seconds of the washington game and to have it called back due to a holding penalty, what a dissapointment.Romo moved the team fast in position and scored all for a holding call. oh well lets beat chicago tomorrow, Go Cowboys!!

Michael Willis profile image

Michael Willis Hub Author 20 months ago

I am with you bubbles. The team plain was set up to get Dez Bryant involved. Plays should have been called for "sure" playmakers in a game like this one. Roy Williams had a great game I thought. What a shame for him personally to make the game winning catch just to have it called back by a dumb penalty. Colombo has to get back into the line-up!!!

The Cowboys are already on "Life Support." A loss Monday Night to the New York Giants will basically bury the Dallas Cowboys 2010 NFL Football Season.

Green Bay embarrasses Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys "quit" early in the game. You could see the lost in space look on the Head Coach.

Jerry Jones has to fire Wade Phillips Now! Not later. It Will Only get worse.

Do the Cowboy fans deserve a 1-15 humiliating season just so Jerry Jones cannot admit his huge mistake at keeping this coaching staff intact this year??? NO! We deserve more Mr. Jones!

Steve from pa 18 months ago

Hey Michael why does Dallas deserve more...Cause the residents of that county that the new stadium is in got it rammed down their throats..the over priced tickets bear and parking..You and 1million other fans have been beleiving the Jerry Jones hype since 89..That Jerry has the money to keep the Cowboys viable in the sports media even though they have won one playoff game in 12 years...ONE PLAYOFF GAME IN 12 years..wake up and smell the reality...Jerry is a horrible football person but great business man and Dallas peaked at the right time last year..but are no one year removed from having a double digit loss year..That doesnt happen to good playoff teams that have a sound foundation...guess its time for Jerry to play musical coaches again...HOw many is that in 10 years..4 or 5?

Michael Willis profile image

Michael Willis Hub Author 18 months ago

Hey Steve. The first thing Jerry Jones should do is check his own EGO at the door. He should hire a real GM who knows NFL football. Firing Wade could be an immediate help to save face with the fans.

Ticket prices/parking...I can't afford to attend a game anymore.

You are right...JJ got lucky after he bought the team. He had Jimmy Johnson who was perfect for that team. JJ's ego grew too big and Jimmy had to go! JJ wanted all the Credit for the team.

The Dallas Cowboy foundation is not solid in the leadership. Dallas Cowboy fans want and deserve a team that hold to the rich tradition of a winning franchise. That is Not right now! It is shameful and embarrassing to all fans.

The HC I think now is at #6. There has to be a #7!!!

As a Steelers fan living in Dallas, I am rarely asked for my opinion of the Cowboys. At 2-7, they are not mathematically out of it yet. It didn't take me long to notice a definite improvement in the team's attitude and effort during Jason Garrett's first game as head coach. Do I honestly think the Cowboys will be in the playoffs? Not really.

Michael Willis profile image

Michael Willis Hub Author 18 months ago

Hello Tammy and thanks for your response. The Cowboys have not had the season expected for sure. Jason Garrett got his first win as interim Head Coach. I am not convinced he is up to the job as a full time head coach. It was good to see some life in the players against the NY Giants. Hopefully it will continue.

I am a long time fan and I want to see my cowboys do well this season. I feel they have a great shot at making the super bowl this year. If they play up to their abilities.

Hello Rickey. I am also a life-long fan of the Cowboys. The defense has stepped it up this year. The Offensive play calling needs to get better and the Cowboys could be a real force in the NFC.
