Tom Brady has won his second NFL MVP Award (Most Valuable Player) for the 2010-2011 NFL Football Season. Brady was the first ever Unanimous choice collecting all 50 votes. Brady also won the NFL Offensive Player of The Year Award.

Brady set an NFL record with 355 consecutive passes without an interception during the season. He led the league with 36 touchdowns with only 4 interceptions for the year.

The Green Bay Packers entered the 2010-2011 NFL football season with hopes of winning the NFC North division, NFC Championship and possibly the Super Bowl. The Packers lost in the NFC playoffs last season to the Arizona Cardinals in an OT shootout 51-45.

The Packers offense is led by rising star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is becoming one of the elite quarterbacks in the league. He has made big time plays all season long and has one of the best group of receivers in the game today.

Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson and James Jones have made big plays and have the ability to break the first tackle. The Pack receivers are great with the yards after catch. This group of receivers has made numerous receptions for 20+ yards this season, especially in the playoffs.

The Packers suffered major injuries to multiple players in the 2010 season. Starting running back Ryan Grant was lost in the first game of the season and the running game never recovered. The loss of Tight End Jermichael Finley was thought to be a major blow to the offense, but the other receivers stepped up to fill the void. The Packers struggled through the adversity of team injuries with 10 starters on the IR list.

Dom Capers turned the Packers defense into one of the NFL best. Using the 3-4 scheme the Packers were 5th in total yards allowed, 2nd in interceptions (24), TD’s (4) and sacks (47).

Clay Matthews and Cullen Jenkins lead the team with sacks and puts the pressure on opposing quarterbacks. The secondary has Charles Woodson, Tramon Williams, Nick Collins and the emerging Sam Shields. The secondary has played extremely well in the NFC playoffs.

The Packers have been tough to run against in the playoffs. B.J. Raji, Desmond Bishop and A.J. Hawk fill the middle and will be a factor in containing the Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the Super Bowl.

• 1.Week #1 saw the loss of starting running back Ryan Grant. The running game struggled the rest of the regular season. The Packers became more one dimensional with the passing game.
• 2.In Week # 14 Aaron Rodgers went down with a concussion in a game against the Detroit Lions. The Packers lost that game 7-3 and things looked bleak for their chances of making the playoffs. The following game in week #15 back-up quarterback Matt Flynn filled in for the injured Rodgers in a game at the New England Patriots. In a game that many thought would be a blow-out, the Packers team made a statement game even in a 31-27 loss that they would be part of a special season.
• 3.The Green Bay Packers hosted the NFC North Division Winner, Chicago Bears, in the week #17, final regular season game, needing the win to secure a wild card playoff position. The Packers showed they could win in a defensive game without the offense carrying the team. The packers won 10-3.

The Green Bay Packers made the NFC Playoffs as the #6 seed and a wild card team. The Packers would have to play all of their games on the roads in three consecutive weeks for a chance at the Super Bowl Championship Game.

NFC Wild Card Game

The Philadelphia Eagles led by Michael Vick were the NFC #3 seed and NFC East Division winners. Many believed the Eagles were the favorite for the NFC representative for the Super Bowl.

The Packer defense was able to contain Vick and the Eagles receivers and James Starks emerged in the running game, rushing for over a 120 yards and a TD in the game.

NFC Divisional Game

The Packers had to face the NFC #1 team in the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Divisional Game. The Falcons were perceived as unbeatable in their home stadium. The Falcons were a well balanced team on offense and their defense had become more aggressive at the end of the season.

Aaron Rodgers played the best game of his career passing for 31-36, 366 yds, 3 TD and rushing for another in leading the Packers to a rout of the Falcons. The Packers defense was all over the Falcons and controlled Matt Ryan and shut down running back Michael Turner.

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 48-21 to advance to the NFC Champions Game.

NFC Championship Game

The Green Bay Packers faced their division rival Chicago Bears for the NFC Championship. The Packers and the Bears rivalry is one of the greatest in NFL history. The teams had faced each other 181 times and last met in the playoffs in 1941.

The Green Bay Packers held on to defeat the Chicago Bears 21-14 for the NFC Championship and a trip to Super Bowl XLV.

Aaron Rodgers was held in check after a quick start in the first half where the Packers had a 14-0 halftime lead.Rodgers passed for 244 yards, but had 2 interceptions in the game.

The Bears rallied to make it a game with 3rd string quarterback Caleb Hanie after Jay Cutler left the game. Rookie Sam Shields of the Packers made the game ending interception when the Bears were trying to tie the game for the victory.

The Green Bay Packers will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV (45) on Feb. 6th, 2011 in Cowboy Stadium for NFL Championship 2011. Game time kick-off is scheduled for approx. 6:30 pm eastern time of the  FOX television network.

The Packers and Steelers feature tough and aggressive defenses using the 3-4 scheme. The Steelers led the league with 48 sacks and the Packers were 2nd with 47 sacks. The game will be filled with hard hits and sacks to decide this year's Super Bowl Champions.

The Packers are led by an explosive passing game led by Aaron Rodgers. He has multiple receivers who can break the big play. The running game has emerged in the NFL playoffs and will help to protect Rodgers from the Steelers pass rush.

1. Pass Protect Rodgers- The Steelers will blitz with James Harrison, James Farrior and Lamar Woodley. Harrison has been penalized with several illegal hard hits throughout the NFL season and Rodgers cannot take these hits throughout the game.
   
2. Tackle Ben Roethlisberger- Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger is most dangerous when he is out of the pocket avoided the pass rush and he can make big plays with his arm and legs. He is athletic and very difficult to bring down with the first tackle. The Packers pass rush must force him inside and their big men must be able to contain Roethlisberger.
3. Remain Calm- The Packers as a team are inexperienced in this type of game situation where the Pitts Steelers are here for the 3rd time in 6 years. Nerves will be part of the beginning of the game. If the Packers fall behind early, they do not need to panic and force plays that could turn into turnovers.
4. Tempo/Ball Control- The Packers do not want to let the Steelers control the game clock. The Steelers will pound the ball with Rashard Mendenhall and wear down the defense. The Packers need to sustain drives that will allow their defense to rest during the game. The Packers can best take advantage of the Steelers defense with an uptempo type offense. The NY Jets used this last week, but too late and were able to move the ball on the Steerler in the 2nd half.
   

The Green Bay Packers will win the Super Bowl Championships for their 4th Super Bowl title and record 13th NFL Championship overall. Expect a low scoring first half and the 2nd half to be more open offensively.

The Packers defense will make a key play to turn the game in their favor. The Steelers secondary will wear down and allow Rodgers to hit one of his receivers for the winning touchdown.
